Alzheimers.net: A Journey In Caregiving for a Mother with Alzheimer’s
ROLE: INTERVIEWING, WRITING
I’ve had a persistent interest in brain science since my days as a research assistant at UW’s iLabs (Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences) back in the early aughts. So I was stoked to pick up a side gig blogging for alzheimers.net (run by A Place for Mom). Along with attending and writing up dementia-focused community events, I had the chance to interview a handful of artists and authors, among them Stephen Hoag, with whom I had one of those rare conversations where I became sharply aware I would never forget it* even as it was happening. What a remarkable man.
