Project

I’ve collaborated with the fine folks at Paradigm Climate on a number of projects—most recently this proposal to research/develop ocean nutrient fertilization as a means of longterm marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR).

The proposed program laid the groundwork for an ongoing relationship with ExIOS (Exploring Ocean Iron Solutions), a global consortium spearheaded by leaders at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.

There are four core sections:

1. The Science

2. Social License

3. Technology Development

4. Commercial Deployment

It’s a big deck. Here’s a selection of slides that give some sense of the challenges and opportunities involved with researching and developing ocean nutrient fertilization for the purposes of mCDR at scale.
